Three of our favourites at Kies Family Wines have been just been awarded Gold medals at the 2013 China Wine and Spirits awards and we could not be more proud!
‘The CWSA continues to be the ultimate authority for wines and spirits here in Hong Kong and China and we wish 2013 winners well deserved congratulations for being selected by the CWSA Judges for this honor.’ says Kelly England, President of the China Wine and Spirits Awards organisation.
The rich black cherry and black olive nose of the 2009 Klauber Block Shiraz won the judges over and landed this little beauty a Gold. The 2010 Monkey Nut Tree Merlot has long been a must in many peoples cellars and it's no wonder the judges fell in love with its luscious red fruits and spice flavours which awarded it a Double Gold.
It's no surprise that the 2009 Chaff Mill Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the prestigious Double Gold Award and has unfortunately very quickly sold out.
The CWSA results are long established as the annual gateway to China for already established internationally famous wine and spirits brands and also for niche producers. The CWSA results are referred to as the benchmark of buying decisions throughout the year.
‘We are very happy that Kies Family Wines has reached the biggest honour in the Hong Kong and China Wine and Spirits market at the CWSA, which is the Oscar’s of the wine world in the fastest growing beverage market in the world’ revealed Tina Kies.
