THE TASTE OF HAPPINESS

From new wine drinkers, to the more experienced, we will welcome you with open arms and a good taste of our huge range of wines. There is something for everyone; from a dry Riesling to a Sparkling Rosé, lighter style red, right through to a big Barossa red, sweet wine or a Fortified.

 

This is a feel good cellar door with lots of character and a feeling that once you have stepped inside you won’t want to leave.

 

There is also plenty for the drivers to look at, stocked with locally grown products, novelty gifts and a small tourism section.

  • Never Overlook Kies


    As the gateway to the Barossa most tours stop at Kies first. People incorrectly assume the wine and wine tasting will get better at other wineries and buy later in the day. These people will go home disappointed.

    Kies winery is a family run business who appreciate their customers which will entice you to keep coming back. Their wine is fantastic. If you like your reds then you will love the monkey nut merlot and the suit cab sav. Their white is always good especially the heyson gold. However a great talking point is the white port. It’s a gem of a drink that is tasty at room temperature or frozen. Pro tip: you can buy small bottles but for a similar price you can buy a flagon that is 2-3 times the size. Once you’ve tasted the wine add your name to their newsletter to get some really good deals

    While there check out the gift shop and the huge range of teas and teapots. The kitchen is also good and offer large meals for a reasonable price. There’s always a crowd eating here but you never have to wait long for your meal.

  • Best wine tasting experience you will ever have!!!

    I honestly don’t even know where to start, the experience we had, was honestly one of the best days in our lives, it was such a privilege to meet Bronson, to see someone so passionate about their winemaking is honestly admirable. We both learnt so much on this experience, while also having so much fun. We have already recommended this experience to so many people. We will back for sure!! This is something you don’t want to miss out of if your heading to the Barossa, it’s honestly a bargain. Thank you for your beautiful service and hospitality, and for introducing us to honestly the best wine we have ever tried 😍 x

  • Thanks for a lovely afternoon Kies!

    What a great venue. Upon arrival we were greeted by their gorgeous wine dog and 4 legged friends inside! We had the most delicious lunch - lovely graze plates that were so generous in size. The staff were super lovely. Its The setting was gorgeous - very rustic and comfortable. We then made our way to the cellar door and had a fabulous tasting with Megan. She was full of knowledge and also looked after us well. Thanks for a lovely afternoon Kies!
