A mischevious little number, teases and tantalises the taste buds with delicate ripe lime and spicy notes. The rich fruit flavours show it to be a classic Barossa Riesling. Great with seafood, risotto and cheese platters.
Planted around 30 years ago, the fruit comes from very well established Riesling vines. This is distinctly valley floor fruit which has a major bearing on the flavour profile given the warm climate.
The growing conditions for this vintage were superb producing one of the largest crops on record where the quantity was very definitely matched by the quality.
It is a rich and rounded valley floor Riesling with bright citrus flavours on the nose and a tanginess that bounces around the palate.
Slightly Germanic in style, there is a very pleasant fruit sweetness that gives the wine good length.
It is so fresh that most will be enjoyed young – however, if left a couple of years it will age just as gracefully.
